Mission

The Picture Butte Municipal Library provides current, high-interest material in a wide variety of formats for persons of all ages. Special emphasis is placed on stimulating young children's interest and in developing an appreciation for reading and learning.

Role of the Library

The primary role of the Picture Butte Municipal Library is to provide current and popular materials for patrons, and Internet access as desired.

History

Since February 23, 1963, library services have been available to the residents of Picture Butte and the surrounding area. The Picture Butte Municipal Library building was opened on August 3, 1981.

The Picture Butte Municipal Library is committed to maintaining current, high interest materials in a variety of formats for people of all ages and interests. Special emphasis is placed on developing an appreciation for reading and learning for children. The Library provides a venue for students of all ages to study and carry out research.
